I did get some scrapping in yesterday, and it was a good thing, because I had to complete my DT work that was, uhh, due yesterday. Just under the wire. Mad skillz, yo.
And then I didn't photograph it before I dropped it off. Camera was dead because I, uhh, chose to put off the recharging process.
So, I'll have to show you something else I made recently, instead.
I made this layout with my April Paper Poppy kit. I spent ages trying to come up with a title, and then
I'm also hoping to include the brochure from O'Brien's Whale and Bird Tours (highly recommended, by the way!) a la Ali Edwards' custom-size page protectors.
You know. Sometime.I have wanted to try making a flower from a Starbucks sleeve ever since I saw what Jennifer from Scrapping Daze does with those little throw-away gems. I'd say it turned out alright, yes? Simple but effective.
Hmmm. Starbucks. Now there's something that I can do today.
Girl. Girl! I love your writing style. Did you take writing classes in college or something? Sooo easy to read. So hilarious.
ReplyDeletep.s. I love the starbucks flower.
Hi Teri!! Yay!!! I love the corrugated circle and thanks for the link. Love this LO and what an awesome time that must have been! Great to see some of the Paper Poppy kit in action! :) Totally enjoyed reading your post, as usual. You need to write comedy!! :)
ReplyDeleteGREAT layout!! I love all the pics!! and the flower is super cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh. I love you because you love me, but all your blog does is make me feel hideously inadequate. I do not even have completed baby books for my two girls (who are now 8 and 10).
ReplyDeleteEnvious sighs.
I love the Starbucks flower.
But I do not have any scrapbooks in which to place said genius flower. Maybe I'll make a flower and pin it to my jacket.
I will return. Maybe you will rub off on me.
That might be a good thing.
See? All hope is not lost . . . I made a Martha reference!
wow ! that must be quite an experience & going solo too !!!
ReplyDeletegreat go at a multi ! & you must document this story for sure ! lol
& nothing like a handmade flower to feel trendy !! I never thought of corrugated paper yet on one .
Rockin' page chickee!! As usual. I confer with Kris in that I feel absolutely inadequate in my writing. I need you to rub off on me. I really need to try hard to write even half as good or well......ummmm I don't know which one I should use. You're the English teacher... teach me!!!...as you (forgot to finish the sentence I was trying to type!)
ReplyDeleteLuv ya!
OMG, your posts are TOO funny!! And I love the way the LO came out!!
ReplyDeleteLove your post, Teri! I'm sooo like you when it comes to adding the memorabilia to pages. Where did I put the stuff anyway?!? High ideals, low completion rate. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour layout turned out great!!!
ReplyDeleteI love how you made the flower, I so need to try it. BTW thanks for your sweet comment on my sneak pee at The Niche, you are too kind.
I have not had time to blog hop nor do layouts lately but I needed to stop by and say THANK you!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend :)
I have always really like scrapping in a grid. It's a nice and clean way to get several photos on a page. Plus I think the type A person in my likes the orderliness of it all.
ReplyDeleteHi Teri!! Just wanted to say hi!! Wishing you a great weekend with some scrapping time too!! :) I'm missing my bloggy friend!! :( Where are you??? hee hee
