Life is good.

So, it's been two weeks since I last posted, and while on the one hand, I missed it, on the other hand, I was a little happy for the break. It's the end of the semester, and the work doesn't stop when you're trying to help 120 students move on to the next level. We've also got this new responsibility with two dogs instead of one. And in the last two weeks, I feel like I've met some pretty significant challenges, and come out all the better for it.

In fact, today I was offered a permanent teaching contract at my school.

And now, things are finally starting to wind down. So what I'm trying to say is, life is good.

My design team project is late, unfortunately, but will be finished tonight.

But, since I wanted to post a little somethin' tonight for y'all, here's a project I completed a few weeks ago.
Yup. Life is good.

  1. Hi Teri!! Great LO! I really like the tearing effect and that flower is great! Very sweet photo of you and your nephew and I LOVE how you got three photos into this LO!! Congrats on your new position. You must be so happy. Yeah, I guess you year is winding down. Soon you will have more time for this crazy scrappy world of ours. I haven't been getting as much as usual done either. Sometimes it is too nice out to be inside scrapping. I'd rather be out taking photos to scrap this winter when I am inside looking for something to do. Mind you, I may get on a tangent when my June PP kit arrives!!! ;)

  2. Very cute LO I like how you used the button in the center of your flower. I wondered if you were overwhelmed with alot of end of the year stuff. If I was still teaching I know I'd have disappeared for a month, not just two weeks.

  8. Hi Teri!!! So happy to hear that your scrappy days are soon to be here!! I am in the midst of packing part of my studio and will be bringing the "best" stuff over to my MIL's. Condo may only be ready in mid August now. :( It has been a nightmare of a move but we are trying to stay positive. Our stuff goes into storage when we move on July 14th. Then we are off to Banff with my sister who is coming from Montreal. When Susan goes back home I will go and stay with Diane in her new place. I hate to be there so soon after her first taste of total freedom. If the condo goes too long we will probably go back to the "stinky dog room" at the Ramada! :( I'm actually hoping that it is a pleasant dog room. I'll let you know. The condo people have been very unfair in how they have changed these dates and have been very difficult to deal with. One day I will be sitting in my new place and settled in and it will all be worth it. My scrappy days may be few this summer. :( I'll have to get out my knitting needles instead and catch up on some much neglected reading. Looking forward to seeing your summer creations!! :)

  10. Hi Teri!! Two more days and then you are free to scrap!!!! Yay!! I have been missing you in my scrappy world. :( Happy Birthday for Wednesday!! That will be a fun day especially with it being the first day of your holiday. How are your pups doing? Thanks for the sweet comment on my LO. The banner was pre done and then I just matted it. I too have been trying to figure out an easy way to make banners. I usually look for a triangular shape on paper and go with that. My Cricut has a triangle shape but I have yet to try it out to see if it is good for a banner. It may be too wide. My "studio" is looking pretty bare these days, as is my entire house. We are down to living with the bare essentials. It is weird to think that I only have about 2 weeks left in this house. I have so many memories here because the girls were only 8 & 10 when we moved here. I always attach myself emotionally to where I live. Such a "mom thing". ;) Still no word on when the condo will be ready, so it is kind of weird to be packing up to go nowhere yet. I'll be happy when I am all settled in. I'm too much of a homebody to not have a nest!! ;) Have a great day and I'm looking forward to seeing some of your creations this summer!! :)

  11. Congrats on the offer!!! So happy for you, it sounds awesome!

Love that LO! Sometimes you do just have to take a little break though, so you can keep up with your "other" life (you know, the one that pays the bills :)

  12. Hi Teri!! So happy to hear that you are scrapping again!! It sure will be a challenge to post "ghost sister's" ;) album but we sure would all love to see it!! I am on a scrappy tangent this week. I think today will be my last day before bringing the rest of my "stuff" to my MIL's. My sister comes from Montreal next week and we are off to Banff for a get away at the Rimrock!! Yay!!! Can't wait. Then when we get back I am taking her to all the scrappy shops as she wants to stock up. Montreal has very limited LSS's. In August we move in with my MIL and wait for the condo to be ready. I'll have a temporary "studio" set up and will probably get lots of scrapping done! :) Have a great holiday with your sister next week, too!! :)

If you type something below it will make the sun shine and the flowers bloom and all the world's children sing hand-in-hand. If you don't, someone, somewhere, will kick a puppy. You don't want to have that on your conscience, now do you?
